Windchase XC Course-Open For Schooling

Windchase Eventing is pleased to offer XC schooling over our impressive 100+ acre cross-country course, with great options from Elementary through Interm! Come ride in one or all three of our schooling fields, each with excellent turf and over 300 XC jumps.
**All schooling is by appointment only. To protect our excellent footing, we do not allow schooling when the ground is wet.**
WIndchase Eventing is located in Hillsboro, VA and is an easy drive from Maryland, Delaware, & West Virginia.
🌳Take advantage of a large and inviting water complex, banks, mounds, coffins, trakehners, ten different ditches, a picture frame and an Irish bank, as well as lots of narrows, corners, portable fences, oxers and tables. Everything you need to school a horse, all in one place!
🌳 Enjoy a picturesque setting over rolling hills at the base of the Blue Ridge mountains.
FOOTING PERMITTING, THE COURSE IS OPEN ALMOST ALL THE TIME, BUT YOU MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND LET US KNOW YOU ARE COMING!
⏰ How to Schedule:
1.) Sign up & pay through STRIDER. State your preferred schooling day/time in the Note to Organizer.
You can pay on STRIDER with any phone using Venmo, credit/debit card, or PayPal.
→Attach Coggins to your STRIDER entry & sign our release (link above).

2.) State your preferred time/date in the Note to Organizer at least 24 hours in advance. YOU MUST GET CONFIRMATION FROM US PRIOR TO ARRIVING.
→We'll email you to confirm ground conditions, that our course is open, and send you a map along with our current schooling policies.
3.) A day or two prior to schooling, reach out to Windchase to re-confirm your arrival day/time.
If you have signed up to school and it rains, please CHECK WITH US TO BE SURE THE COURSE IS OPEN BEFORE SCHOOLING. The course may be closed due to ground conditions.
Especially during the wetter times of year, check with us.
If it is too wet, your schooling fee will be either applied to another date or refunded.

🔹Facility Rules🔹
- Riders may NOT school alone; if you not with other riders you must bring a ground person.
- All riders must sign a Windchase release form before mounting.
- - Minors must have release form signed by parent or guardian.
- All riders must wear an ASTM/SEI approved helmet and body protector.
- Water is available on site.
- Please LEAVE YOUR DOGS AT HOME - we have plenty already, and they don’t like outside dogs.

Outside trainers with insurance are permitted.

Trailer Direction: The address is: Windchase, 36502 Kidwell Road, Hillsboro (or Purcellville), VA 20132
🚫 Googlemaps will sometimes direct people to turn onto Piney Run Road instead of Kidwell. DO NOT DO THIS!
✅ DO be sure to turn off of 671, Harpers Ferry Road, onto Kidwell Road. (Piney Run Lane is about a quarter mile north of Kidwell.)When you turn up Kidwell Road, we are the 4th drive on the right.
The number is 36502, and it says "Windchase" on the mailbox and rock sign. At the house, bear left and go back, past the lake on your right, to the stables.
Please drive slowly and watch for speed bumps and dogs.
Park either along the driveway or in the dirt area by outdoor jump ring.
