We are extending entries for the entire month of April, so you still have chance to enter.

Due to the coronavirus, we are offering an online horse show format for those riders who would still like to show, but keep their social distance from large events.

Record your video, send it to me, and our judge Aviva Nebesky "L-grad" will judge your video. You will get your test score back. If you'd like a more detailed Fix-A-Test commentary about your ride, Aviva can write a paragraph or two to help you with your test for an additional fee.

Results will be posted by April 30th.

All tests are welcomed, including USDF/USEF, USEA, western dressage, working equitation, and gaited dressage tests. For gaited please send me your test.

Rider & Horse Attire
Wear suitable schooling show attire. You don't have to dress up, unless you'd like to.
Helmets must be worn, no exception.

A few questions that have been asked.

Will this count towards year end awards?
To my series yes. I don't know if these scores could count towards CDCTA or any of the VADA chapters.

Arena Guidelines
Typically training levels and up are done in the standard, but if your arena is small, that's fine. If you can do your 3rd level test in a small arena, you rock.

The only thing item that really is required for the arena is that you do your test in a properly marked arena. As long as you have letters to mark your arena, small or large, grass or dirt, doesn't matter. You don't have to have a full dressage arena set up. You can just get cones and print the letters and tape them on, if you don't have a true arena set up. Ground poles in between the letters can help make a more defined arena.

Here's a great guide for marking your arena.

Video Format
mp4 or YouTube link. Best is if you can have a friend video few steps where C would be and can zoom in for the movements closer to A. Also to make sure they record the movements in the corners.
This is an example https://youtu.be/PdV7XSXZd1g, except try and keep the side letters in view.

Sending Files
You can upload your video via Vimeo or YouTube. And send me the link. If you are concerned about other folks viewing your link, just set the link to Unlisted, but don't set it private (or we can't view it). Only the judge and I will be viewing the link.
I'm not sure how it works with Vimeo.

You can send your file also with GoogleDrive. If DropBox is easiest for you, then let me know.

Someone asked about uploading since some parts of Fauquier have poor internet connection, if you can record with a camera you can mail the SD card. Just make sure to view it on your computer to make sure it recorded fine, before mailing it in. Also make sure you mail it in an rigid envelope so it doesn't get bent or damaged. If you want the card back, make sure to include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
If you're mailing the SD card, please send a few days before the closing date and also email me so I know its on its way.
