🟦 About the Panelists 🟦

🔹Dr. Piper Klemm is the owner and publisher of The Plaid Horse (https://www.theplaidhorse.com). Her mission is to educate young equestrians in every facet of our industry and to empower young women in particular to find their voices and stories—and to share them.

She has spent her entire career focusing on education through various channels, including The Plaidcast, North America’s most listened-to horse show podcast; as a professor at Clarkson University and St. Lawrence University; co-authoring the Show Strides book series; and by providing educational articles, grants, and experiential learning opportunities for riders of all ages and levels. She earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley.

Piper lives in Canton, New York, with her husband, Adam Hill. Adam is a Chemistry Professor at St. Lawrence University and the Faculty Mentor to the national champion IHSA Riding Team. She owns a fleet of lease ponies, and competes in the Amateur Hunter divisions with MTM Sandwich.

🔹Caroline Culbertson is the Editor-in-Chief at NOELLEFLOYD (https://www.noellefloyd.com) and the host and producer of the Equestrian Voices podcast. Through her work, she uncovers the many, sometimes unspoken aspects of being an equestrian and aims to bring communities and disciplines closer together. She lives in Maine and is due with her second baby only two days after this webinar takes place!

🔹eslie Mintz is the Director of Media and Communications at the United States Eventing Association (USEA) and the Editor and Graphic Designer of Eventing USA. She has been working at the USEA for over a decade – starting out as an intern and growing through a variety of roles. Under her direction Eventing USA won the American Horse Publication’s “General Excellence” award for its category in 2020, and during her tenure the USEA’s combined social media reach has grown to 175,000 with the website receiving over 6 million views per year.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, she holds a B.A. degree in Publication Management. Leslie lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and 10-month-old daughter. She currently events her Irish Sport Horse at the Training level. For more, check out https://www.useventing.com
